How to Safely and Effectively Get Rid of Spiders from Your Home
Do you share your house with spiders? Spiders commonly enter homes in two primary ways: entering through open, poorly screened windows and doors and through cracks and gaps around door and window frames.
Most of the time, they come inside the home looking for prey. They feed on insects, other spiders and any other prey they are able to subdue.
Getting rid of these pests is most easily accomplished by keeping them out, but after they get inside, there are a variety of proven remedies you can use to scare them off or kill them.
How to Safely Get Rid of Spiders from Your Home
Spiders hate the strong pungent smell of white vinegar. It will drive away all the spiders in no time. Its acetic acid can even burn and kill spiders upon contact.
Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray this solution on any area where these pests can hide. You can also, spray it directly on any spider you see. Do this once daily until they are completely gone.
Take 10 cloves of garlic and extract juice out of it. Mix garlic juice in a spray bottle filled with water. Now spray this mix in the corners of your house to repulse spiders.
Soak 1 to 2 tablespoons of tobacco in a cup of hot water for about 30 minutes. Strain and add the juice of 1 lemon in the water. Spray the solution all around the house. Repeat daily until you are sure that your house is free of spiders .
Additional tip: It is important to use sprays not only in those areas where spiders are seen, but also in locations populated by certain insects which are spider’s food source. You will quicker discourage spiders from staying in your location if you limit their food source.
