Basil ( herb ) – Curative effect and application


Basil has a number of medicinal properties - antibacterial, carminative, antispasmodic, anti-supporting and stimulating digestive, expectorant and others. Tea basil is a good remedy for stomach pain and causes sweating, and also is used in slightly nervous tension, headache and nausea. Mothers who do not have enough milk, can cause the appearance of milk, taking basil. Fresh or dried leaves of basil can be used in cases of indigestion, abdominal cramps, constipation or fever. Externally the herb can be used in swelling and skin rashes. Basil is known as an excellent tool against mosquitoes.

Basil , taken in large doses is toxic !

Basil can be grown in pots on the windowsill or on the terrace. Basil needs a lot of light to have a beneficial active ingredients.


Pour 1 teaspoon, dried basil whit 1 cup boiling water. Leave to brew 10 to 15 minutes, then strain .


Mode for chronic stomach gas:

The regime for the treatment of chronic stomach gas includes 2 cups basil tea a day for 1 week followed by a two-week break and then one more week drinking tea from basil.

Pesto :


Mix 120 g of well-washed basil leaves , 1 cup olive oil and 30 g roasted nuts . Add 100 grams of grated Parmesan cheese and salted to taste. Pesto , which is sold in stores often contain garlic. This ingredient should be avoided by nursing mothers because most newborns do not like the smell of garlic.
